Hired!

My grandma is in the final stages of Alzheimer's and on hospice. We have had some sweet times over these past months as I have been caring for her overnight. I was recently hired by the Rock Academy as an administrative assistant and will be moving into my own apartment near grandma's home. I am looking forward to spending time with her after work...during the day.

lovin' life in sunny san diego

It's been 8 months since I moved to San Diego in hopes of teaching at a Christian school. After a series of jobs at Seaworld and Care.com, I am now living with my 98-year-old grandmother since she is battling Alzheimer's disease. Surprisingly, we are closer than ever! I absolutely loooove my time with her. She is still spunky and humorous and charming. I have also been volunteering and substitute teaching at the Rock Academy which is just down the hill. Things have turned out differently than I ever imagined, but sometimes the unplanned becomes HIS PLAN.

been back in the states for 24 days now. still digesting my 14 months in nigeria, catching up with friends and family, and job hunting...like so many others. there are many ministry needs here in my home church, cc yuma. there are also weekly opportunities to stay connected with missions in mexico, but i'm praying for the lord to clearly show me where he wants me to serve. willing to go, but willing to stay too! just awaiting orders, but until then...
